Guide to every single badge

Just a guide on how to earn badges

You can see all the badges here

Getting started

First ____

Edit your own post! For new users, you have to edit within 24 hours of posting. If you are trust level 1 or higher, you have unlimited time to edit your post

Use an emoji in a post

Flag a post and have moderators accept your flag. Do not flag harmless posts just to get the badge, it won’t work.

Like a post

In a post, include a link to another topic on this forum

Mention another user. You can do this by typing @ and then their username. Please do not mention another user unless you have something that you want them to see or you have their permission. Unnecessary mentions are annoying to a lot of people

Post a link that the forum “oneboxes”. To do this, just post a link normally but have it on it’s own line. I.e.

textext

link
moretext

The forum will convert it into a lil box with a preview of the website & award you with the badge

Quote a post! You can do this easily by selecting some text from someone’s post, then pressing “Quote”

Reply to someone by email. You can only do this upon trust level 2, and, like mentions, please don’t do this without reason. Getting a badge isn’t worth being annoying xD

Share a post! You can do this by clicking the link icon, to the right of the like and ... buttons

Edit a wiki post
Please only do this if you have something constructive to add. Don’t edit a wiki post just to get a badge

User tutorials

These both require interacting with the DM @discobot sent you. If you can’t find it, go to the full notification list and scroll to the bottom for a DM named “Greetings!”

Complete the new user tutorial. This can be activated by bookmarking the first message in the DM, or messaging @discobot start tutorial

Complete the advanced user tutorial. This can be activated by messaging @discobot start advanced tutorial

Misc

You can earn this badge by editing your profile

Limited time badge, you can only get this in your first month
Awarded to two new users every month for “Outstanding” contributions. Basically, just make a lot of good posts. It takes into account how many people and what people upvote your posts, along with other stuff

Read every reply in a topic with >100 replies
